Critical Illness cover pays out a lump sum if you are diagnosed with one of a wide range of critical illnesses that meets our policy definition within the term of your plan, assuming premiums are maintained. You must live for at least 14 days after diagnosis for a claim to be paid. If you stop paying your premiums your cover may cease.
If you are diagnosed with one of the wide range of illnesses covered by the policy the money from any pay out could give you a real choice of how you go on to live your life. You could possibly pay off your mortgage, move house, make home adjustments, or simply take a holiday to recuperate.
You can choose between decreasing, level and index linked cover. If you choose level cover, inflation will reduce the buying power of the sum assured.
The plan has no cash in value at any time. We only cover the critical illnesses defined in our policy and no others.
